1979年後美台關係展自2018年在高雄起跑，已經巡迴台灣兩年，並且迎接超過20萬觀眾。在2020年，美台關係展啟程至高雄的中山大學、台南的成功大學、台中的東海大學、新竹的清華大學，在2020年底抵達最後一站台灣大學。
謝謝台灣大學徐斯勤教授、蔡甫昌教授、童涵浦教授以及來自台灣大學超過70位好朋友，共同參與「1979 年後美台關係展論壇-真朋友真進展」，陪伴我們度過巡迴展的最後一夜。正如同AIT副處長谷立言(Raymond Greene)在論壇中所分享：「美國和台灣都選擇成為同一民主家庭的成員。我們有共同的價值觀，包含政治價值，例如法治和法律上的平等保護、尊重人權、民主透明的治理、新聞、言論和宗教自由；和欣賞多樣性等等。」謝謝所有參與過展覽的朋友，如果你還沒有參與過去40年的美台關係互動的故事，下一階段，期待有你的參與！
Since 2018, the “U.S. - Taiwan Relations since 1979” has welcomed over 200,000 visitors. This year the exhibit visited National Sun Yat-sen University in Kaohsiung, National Cheng Kung University in Tainan, Tunghai University in Taichung, National Tsing Hua University in Hsinchu, with the final stop at National Taiwan University.
We want to thank Professor Philip Hsu, Professor Daniel Fu-Chang Tsai, Professor Hans H Tung and over 70 participants from NTU who joined a forum on October 29, 2020 to celebrate “U.S Taiwan Relations since 1979 -- Real Friends, Real Progress.” As AIT’s Deputy Director Raymond Greene shared at the forum, “Both the United States and Taiwan have chosen to be members of the same family of democracies. We are bonded by our common character comprised of our shared values, such as rule of law and equal protection under the law; respect for human rights; democratic and transparent governance; freedoms of press, expression, and religion; and appreciation of diversity.” Thanks to all of you who have participated and learned more about our shared story of this history U.S.-Taiwan partnership. #RealFriendsRealProgress #NTU
